Jointer's Mate - LV Unlooping Framework Contract (DNO) - Scotland

As a Jointer's Mate, you will play an essential role in supporting LV Unlooping Framework projects by assisting the jointing team in various tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude to contribute to the success of our projects., 1. Assistance in Jointing Activities:

· Work closely with experienced jointers to assist in cable jointing and associated activities.

· Follow instructions and contribute to the efficient and safe execution of LV Unlooping Framework projects.

2. Material Handling:

· Assist in the handling, transportation, and organisation of materials and tools required for jointing tasks.

· Ensure the proper storage and care of equipment to maintain safety standards.

3. Site Preparation:

· Support the jointing team in the preparation of work sites, including excavation, trenching, and other groundwork activities.

· Collaborate with the team to ensure that work areas are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.

4. Safety Compliance:

· Adhere to health and safety guidelines and protocols at all times.

· Participate in safety briefings and contribute to the identification and mitigation of potential hazards.

5. Documentation and Record Keeping:

· Maintain accurate records of jointing activities, including material usage and work performed.

· Report any issues or concerns to the jointing team and supervisors promptly.

6. Continuous Learning:

· Actively engage in training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in jointing activities.

· Seek guidance from experienced jointers to develop expertise in LV Unlooping Framework projects.

• Previous experience in a support role within the energy, construction, or utility industry is advantageous.


• Basic understanding of electrical systems and cable jointing processes is desirable.


• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
