As a Junior General Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the business. You will assist with a variety of administrative tasks, respond to enquiries from clients, training participants and other stakeholders, and help with the organisation and coordination of training programmes.
You will also help to ensure that participants and trainers have all the information they need ahead of each training programme, including details relating to venues, travel arrangements and course information.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will gain valuable practical experience in a busy professional environment while developing your administrative, organisational and customer service skills.
What will I learn? During your apprenticeship, you will develop a range of practical and transferable workplace skills, including:
- General business administration and office procedures
- Organising and coordinating training programmes and events
- Communicating professionally with clients, participants, trainers and colleagues
- Responding to enquiries by email and telephone
- Planning and prioritising your workload
- Using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Maintaining accurate records and handling information appropriately
- Arranging and communicating travel, venue and training information
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Providing a high standard of customer service
- Developing attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Managing confidential and sensitive information appropriately
You will also gain an understanding of how a training organisation operates and how different departments work together to provide an excellent experience for clients and training participants.
What qualifications or qualities are required? Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role would be helpful but is not essential, as training and support will be provided as part of the apprenticeship.
