Kitchen Porter at Heritage Portfolio - Edinburgh

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen operation, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety. Your work helps our chefs deliver outstanding food and service every day.,

• Maintaining excellent cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans efficiently to a high standard
• Keeping kitchen equipment, work surfaces and floors clean and sanitised
• Assisting chefs with basic food preparation, including peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients
• Disposing of waste correctly while following recycling and sustainability procedures
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
• Following all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Completing daily cleaning schedules and reporting any maintenance or hygiene concerns

• Able to follow instructions and maintain high standards
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is helpful but not essential. If you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, we'll provide the support you need to succeed.
