An exciting opportunity has arisen within Angus HSCP for an additional Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP). 

Working with the Lead Nurse and the Lead ANP in Angus HSCP, and the Senior Nurses in Angus and Lead Partner services, this post will provide clinical, operational and professional leadership to the evolving Advanced Practice team within Primary and Urgent Care and wider community services.  You will be a registered nurse educated to Masters level (or equivalent) in advanced practice and will be able to evidence competence in:  clinical assessment, clinical reasoning, anatomy and pathophysiology, non-medical prescribing (v300) and leadership.   You will have significant experience as an ANP and be able to demonstrate leadership skills.  

The post will be integral to the development of the ANP services aligned to the Primary Care Improvement Plan and will work across GP practices and wider community and lead partner services within the HSCP. 

The right candidate will be able to work across many disciplines and teams and have a proven track record of service development and leading a team.   

Hours of work are: 37 (full time) Band: 8a

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
