Full Job Description

  • Responsibilities of lead football coaches at Little Kickers
  • Lead fun and engaging football classes for children aged 18 months to 8 years old.

  • Explain and demonstrate games and activities for children to follow.

  • Physically coach and encourage children and parents through sessions.

  • Adapt activities based on session plans for a variety of ability levels to promote progress.

  • Communicate with other coaches, children and parents/carers before, during and at the end of the classes.

  • Store and bring football equipment to your sessions.

    Little Kickers, the award-winning football programme for children aged 18 months to 8-years-old, is looking for a high-calibre lead football coaches for classes in East Kilbride and Motherwell.

    We need fun, confident, outgoing coaches who are great with kids. You'll be reliable, organised, engaging and enthusiastic while putting all your efforts into making our classes the most exciting part of a child's week.

    You must have at least two years experience in leading children's football sessions and having a PVG will be advantageous.,
  • Confidence, an outgoing personality, reliability, and a passion for working with kids.

  • Creativity and an ability to tap into children's imaginations through play.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and professional manner.

  • Willingness to act like a dinosaur, shark, octopus and any number of other creatures/objects to engage children and their parents.

  • Available and willing to take part in a practical coaching assessment as part of the recruitment process.

  • Able to work 8.30am - 12pm in East Kilbride on Saturdays and 9am - 12pm in Motherwell on Sundays.

  • Ideally, you'll live in Lanarkshire or within close proximity to East Kilbride and Hamilton., football coaching: 2 years (required)
