Full Job Description

Are you ready to be the heartbeat of our Learning and Development team? We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join us as our Learning & Development Coordinator. You'll be the go-to person for planning, coordinating, and supporting our training activities. From managing our online learning management system (LMS) to ensuring smooth sailing for all our learning activities.

You'll report to the Learning & Development Learning Partner, whilst also supporting the Training delivery team and Knowledge and Curriculum team. This role forms part of our wider People & Culture team and can be based in our Head Office in Edinburgh or London, with hybrid working and occasional UK travel to support onsite initiatives.,

  • Provide regular data reporting on completion rates to the Executive Team and other senior managers, on compliance training and reviews.

  • Work with the wider Learning & Development team and training suppliers to produce quotes, contracts, purchase orders and invoices and administrate the relevant paperwork and answer associated queries.

  • Administer and respond to emails and telephone enquiries from key stakeholders and team members across the organisation on topics including but not limited to: LMS access, how to use LMS, training course times and course locations.

  • Arrange training sessions both online and in person by sending pre-course information to delegates, assist with enquiries they might have, coordinate the evaluation of the programmes and gather feedback from attendee's post training.

  • Update organisational changes in our LMS, including adding new starter information, job title management, assigning correct learning journeys to new starts and promoted team members and processing leavers.

  • Promote the use of the LMS to colleagues and managers, providing training and guidance where required and promote best practice.

  • Support in the administration of apprenticeships programmes, including data consents, HRIS system updates, progress tracker and Apprenticeship Levy platform.

    This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has had an insight to Learning & Development and would like to start a career in this area. The following range of characteristics and competencies are required/sought:

  • Good experience of maintaining a system, preferably an LMS (Learning Management System).

  • Familiarity in hospitality operational roles and managing multiple projects.

  • Experience of providing support within an HR / learning & development / training capacity.

  • Practised in gathering and reporting basic data and information.

  • An innovative, pro-active approach to work, able to work both alone and as part of a team and is a confident self-starter.

  • Knowledge of working with apprenticeships programmes, including data consents, HRIS system updates, progress tracker and Apprenticeship Levy platform.

  • High attention to detail, taking pride in quality of work.

  • Strongly self-motivated, and passionate about hospitality.

  • Excel at teamwork and engender trust quickly in colleagues.

  • Strong IT skills, conversant with Microsoft 365 specifically word and Excel.

  • Collaborative, with excellent communication skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and delivering against deadlines.

  • Innovative, pro-active approach to work, able to work both alone and as part of a team.
