Full Job Description

The Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Operational Analyst is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of LIMS, a business-critical platform that underpins all aspects of SRUC Veterinary Services' laboratory and disease surveillance activities. Working collaboratively with colleagues across Veterinary Services and IDS, the postholder will drive the ongoing development and optimisation of LIMS, translating operational needs into effective system solutions that enhance service delivery, data quality and business efficiency. The role plays a vital part in ensuring that the system remains robust, compliant and aligned with both current operational demands and future organisational requirements. Given the high-volume and business-critical nature of Veterinary Services' activities, the postholder must ensure that all responsibilities are carried out accurately, consistently and in a timely manner to minimise operational risk and maintain confidence in the service provided to customers, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
