Full Job Description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term position of 12 months.
The shift pattern for this position is day work with on-call
Applications are welcomed for one locum post to cover maternity leave. This will be full time post a (40 hours per week, 10PA) Consultant Obstetrician/Obstetrician & Gynaecologist for a 12 month period based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The successful applicant will join an established team of consultants providing a comprehensive service to the population of Glasgow.
We are looking for a motivated, forward thinking colleague who will develop and support new initiatives in the department.
Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once CESR is awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
