Long Term Locum to cover sickness absence and upcoming maternity - Any number of sessions considered
St Luke's Medical Practice are looking for a Locum GP to help compliment our committed team.

St Luke's is a training practice based in new purpose built Health Board premises in semi-rural Carluke, South Lanarkshire. Carluke is well situated as a commuting town equidistant to both Glasgow and Edinburgh. We offer a highly competitive salary and have a group scheme with the MDDUS with salaried GP indemnity covered by the practice. With Carluke being an area noted to have GP recruitment difficulties any GP joining our team who has not previously been in receipt, would be eligible to apply for a Golden Hello.
We are a dynamic and forward thinking practice that strive to provide a high standard of care to our patient population. Newly qualified GPs would be welcome and supported by our large, collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical team, which consists of 3 GP Partners, 6 Salaried GPs, 5 Practice Nurses/ Nurse Practitioners and NHSL Pharmacist, Community Link Worker and Mental Health Nurse, together with a dynamic Practice Manager and front of house support.
The practice has an approx. patient population of 11,250 and covers the ML8 postcode area of Carluke, villages of Law, Braidwood, Cartland, Crossford and Rosebank and the farming area immediately surrounding the towns. More information about our practice can be found on our website.
We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and nearby villages and towns. There are three golf courses in the local area, various family friendly activities and the famous Clyde walkway; ideal for scenic walks and the New Lanark World Heritage Site. There are regular transport links to Glasgow and Edinburgh and five local primary schools, 1 high school and an independent school only a short distance away in Hamilton.
