Log Yard Operative

Based at our Fort William sawmill, you will be specifically driving a Wheeled Loader with Bucket, you will be working within a team and individually. Specifically, some responsibilities of a Log Yard Operator include:

• Operating a wheeled loader with a Bucket.
• Loading Wood chip, bark and sawdust.
• Movement of logs using 360 material handler and wheeled loader.
• Unloading of log wagons.
• Operation of weighbridge: booking in/out sawn goods, logs and coproducts as well as controlling incoming site traffic
movements.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is production focussed and has the ability to meet deadlines. In addition, you'll have;
• Experience using heavy mobile plant would be preferred but is not essential as full training can be provided.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Be flexible and work well as part of a small team.
• A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
• Full Drivers Licence.
