Full Job Description
- Undertake planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance work either independently or under the supervision of the Facilities Manager/Team Leader ensuring all works have been recorded on completion in compliance with the contract conditions.
- Carry out repairs to walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, and fixtures.
- Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting, and tiling tasks.
- Service and repair of internal fixtures and fittings.
- Undertake maintenance duties such as Fire Door and Fire Damper Maintenance Inspection.
- Ensure the safe operation & storage of all plant, materials, equipment and tools.
- Undertake emergency cleaning duties as required including accidental spillages, leaks etc.
- Able to work at height via Tower Scaffold or MEWP
- Maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the Contract Manager of any follow up action that may be required
- Report all accidents and incidents, hazard and near misses as appropriate
- Provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
- The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM's operational requirements.
Good Joinery / Fabric skills, a related trade qualification or experience in a similar role, carpentry - doors, frames, hinges, locks and furniture repairs, shelving install - Previous maintenance experience working in FM environment
- Able to navigate through handheld PDA (CAFM App)
- Hard working, reliable, punctual, have good communication skills
- Awareness of health and safety and the need for safe methods of working.
- Basic electrical duties - lamp changes and minor repairs.
- A full UK driving license is a requirement for this role The successful candidate will require an PVG/Disclosure check Who we're looking for: The post holder will work as part of the maintenance team with responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality Reactive Maintenance, Planned and Lifecycle service for the contract within the given region. The post holder will have a designated core skill (Building Fabric) and will be expected to lead in this area but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder's range of competence. The post holder needs to have a flexible working approach as the role will require tasks carried out that may be out with contracted hours of work.
