Maintenance Officer

A growing, community‑focused housing provider is seeking an Asset Officer to join their busy Asset & Compliance team on a short‑term contract. With new homes being added to their stock and a major transformation project underway, the organisation requires additional support to maintain service quality and ensure smooth delivery of asset management functions.

Depending on experience, you will join as Asset Officer, supporting the team during a period of increased workload and staff absence. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting or leading the delivery of planned, cyclical and compliance programmes

• Carrying out property inspections, surveys and asset data collection

• Monitoring contractor performance, costs and compliance with service standards

• Maintaining accurate asset information using the organisation's systems (including HomeMaster)

• Liaising with contractors, tenants and internal teams to ensure a smooth, customer‑focused service

• Assisting with the coordination of investment programmes and transformation projects

• Providing technical support to the wider team where required

• Ensuring all works comply with relevant health & safety, statutory and regulatory requirements

• Experience in an asset management, property maintenance or housing‑related role

• Strong IT literacy, HomeMaster experience highly desirable

• Knowledge of planned maintenance, compliance or contractor management

• Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused approach

• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

• Full UK driving licence preferred

• Immediate start

• Hybrid working (2 days in office per week)

• Competitive salary depending on level (Asset Manager or Asset Officer)

• Short‑term contract with potential extension
