Experteer Overview As a Maintenance Team Leader in the Production team at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow, you will lead and supervise teams performing scheduled maintenance, inspections and defect rectification. You'll oversee day-to-day team activities, drive improvements, and develop the team while ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance. You'll collaborate across shifts and support functions to meet targets and reduce aircraft downtimes. This role combines technical leadership with people management in a high-reliability environment. - Ensure team compliance with environmental, quality, health & safety and housekeeping standards Oversee maintenance activities ensuring safety, regulatory and company standards Collaborate with colleagues, Shift manager and support departments to hit targets Organise team work schedules and allocate tasks to meet targets People management in line with policies (disciplinary, etc.) Individual coaching, performance management and development Improve schedules and reduce aircraft downtimes Provide technical leadership during maintenance tasks Sign off completed work within approval scope Maintain effective internal communications Drive productivity and cost targets through process and task improvements Tasks Valid UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 licence (Essential) Maintains Base Maintenance authorisations on A320 family and recency (Essential) Type rating Airbus A320 Neo family and recency (Desirable) Experience in leading teams in an aircraft maintenance environment (Essential) 3 years aircraft maintenance experience (Essential) Can work 4-on-4-off shifts (including night shifts) Can work in confined spaces (fuel tanks) Can work under pressure to timescales Key requirements Competitive performance-related bonus Shift allowance package Pension scheme (up to 16%) Private healthcare scheme Flexible benefits scheme Discounted flights for friends and family
