Management Accountant

The successful candidate for this newly created role will ideally be a qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA). Operating successfully in a highly competitive sector, this role has a strong commercial focus, with robust financial management and timely and accurate reporting as key requirements. The appointed individual will be motivated and well-organised, with the ability to deliver under pressure whilst supporting finance team.

• Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Prior experience of working in housebuilding / construction industry role advantageous but not essential
• Strong technical foundation in accounting
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills combined with business acumen, pragmatism and a good sense of diplomacy
• Proven ability to build relationships at all levels
• Sound and relevant commercial awareness
• Ability and aptitude to challenge work practices and to seek explanations
• Track record of producing timely financial MI in a fast-moving commercial environment
• Highly developed oral, written and presentation skills
• Motivated self-starter with a flexible working attitude
• A strong team player, with a desire to make a significant contribution to the Finance Department
• Excellent IT skills including MS office, experience of eVision and Sitestream helpful but not essential
