Full Job Description

Eden Scott's client is seeking a Manager of New Business Operations to lead their Edinburgh team in delivering excellence across corporate, fund, and employee benefit onboarding processes. Our client is based in the City Centre of Edinburgh and offers Hybrid working

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the New Business Team, responsible for onboarding corporate, funds, and employee benefit structures across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure Customer Due Diligence (CDD) deficiencies and risk factors are identified, documented, and aligned with policy, procedure, and regulatory requirements.
  • Escalation Management: Serve as the escalation point for complex and high-risk onboarding and periodic review cases.
  • Strategic Planning: Align the team's strategy with overarching Group objectives and KPIs, contributing to the division's business plans, including adapting to the Cosmos era.
  • Corporate Governance: Maintain high standards of governance, ensuring adherence to legal, tax, and statutory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach managers and assistant managers, ensuring the team is trained, motivated, and achieving their full potential.
  • Performance Management: Conduct appraisals, set SMART objectives, and monitor team progress, fostering a culture of continuous development.
  • Recruitment & Development: Play an active role in the recruitment process and ensure CPD requirements are met, fostering a culture of growth and expertise.

Person Specification

  • Proven leadership experience in onboarding, compliance, or CDD-related functions, ideally within institutional client services.
  • Strong understanding of AML legislation, risk management, and governance frameworks.
  • Exceptional people management skills with a proven track record in developing high-performing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align team objectives to organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Committed to professional development and maintaining expertise in relevant fields.
