Full Job Description
Help create marketing that connects people with Scotland’s islands.
We're an ambitious, award-winning marketing team – and we’re fortunate to be the custodians of a brand closely connected to Scotland, its islands and one that’s built on generations of maritime expertise.
We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to help us deliver marketing activity that inspires people to explore our destinations, supports the communities and businesses we serve, and strengthens the Caledonian MacBrayne brand.
This is a varied, hands-on role at the heart of our marketing team. You’ll support the delivery of integrated campaigns, partnerships, reporting, stakeholder engagement and event activity, working with colleagues, agencies, tourism partners and local businesses to ensure marketing initiatives are delivered effectively and to a high standard.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns and promotional activity across paid, owned and earned channels.
- Work with internal teams, agencies and external partners on marketing assets and activity, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and on brand.
- Help deliver partnerships, sponsorships, events and activations that connect CalMac with customers, communities and destinations across our network.
- Support marketing activity around new products, vessels, content series and other commercial initiatives.
- Work with tourism organisations, local businesses and destination partners to showcase the places and experiences across our network.
- Monitor campaign and activity performance, helping turn results and insight into recommendations for future activity.
- Support budget tracking, agency coordination and the day-to-day organisation that keeps marketing activity moving.
- Bring ideas, energy and a proactive approach to a fast-moving team that is always looking for ways to do things better.
What you’ll bring
You'll have proven experience working on marketing activities within a professional environment and a positive, can-do mindset, taking pride in the quality and impact of your work. You’ll be highly organised, comfortable managing multiple priorities and confident working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll have strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail. Most importantly, you’ll be curious, proactive and keen to build your marketing career while making a real contribution to an ambitious team.
It would be beneficial to hold a valid driving license.
Why CalMac?
This is an opportunity to work on a brand that has a unique role in the life of Scotland. From major campaigns to local partnerships and events, you’ll help create marketing that celebrates our islands, the people who live and work there, and the customers who travel with us.
If you’re looking for a varied marketing role where you can develop your experience, work with great people and help bring some of Scotland’s most special places to life, we’d love to hear from you.
Come onboard and help us connect people with Scotland’s islands.
