Full Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with the ability to work independently and within a team. They will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving plant equipment, ensuring high standards of reliability, quality, and safety. Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily maintenance support to production equipment and processes.
  • Maintain and enhance plant and equipment for optimal performance and safety.
  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance to maximize equipment efficiency.
  • Ensure effective use of maintenance tools and systems, including work orders and spare part management.
  • Mentor apprentices and colleagues, offering guidance and support.
  • Manage contractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Progress equipment spares inventory transition to the PeopleSoft Maintenance Module.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation to company standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams for problem-solving and root cause analysis.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best working practices.

    Apprenticeship training or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential.
  • Ability to fault find and repair pumps, motors, and mechanical parts.
  • Experience with Machinery Safety Regulations, PUWER, and CE Marking.
  • Good understanding of general HSE requirements and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Initiative and ability to identify equipment improvements.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments and a positive, can-do attitude.
