Mechanical Trade Supervisor

As a Mechanical Trade Supervisor, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll take on a pivotal leadership role within our Fleet Engineering team, delivering complex mechanical work packages that directly support the operational readiness of the Royal Navy. This is a unique opportunity to lead skilled teams through technically challenging projects, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of engineering activities in a highly regulated environment. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Leading and supervising multi-skilled teams to safely deliver mechanical engineering work packages
• Producing and reviewing technical documentation such as work scopes and method statements
• Planning, scheduling, and coordinating tasks to ensure delivery against safety, cost, quality, and time targets
• Managing subcontractors and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support project delivery
• Promoting a strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture across all activities
This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:15 - 16:45 and is based on site at HMNB Clyde Faslane.

Essential experience of the Mechanical Trade Supervisor
• Demonstrable experience in mechanical engineering within an industrial or engineering environment
• Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
• Experience planning and coordinating engineering work packages
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and operational performance standards
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
Qualifications for the Mechanical Trade Supervisor
• HNC or HND in a mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent
Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
