Full Job Description
Job purpose: Cruden Medical Group is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and motivated Modern Apprentice to join our busy GP Practice. This is a fixed-term 18 month training contract, open to individuals who are not currently at school or college, aged between 16 – 19 years, and a great opportunity to gain real workplace experience while working towards a recognised Business & Administration qualification.
The role will include:
· Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
· Managing appointments, telephone calls and patient enquiries.
· Processing prescription requests and general administration tasks.
· Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
· Learning NHS systems while being supported by an experienced team.
We are looking for someone who is:
· Reliable, hard-working and keen to learn.
· Friendly, approachable and able to communicate well with patients, staff and the public.
· Able to work in a confidential, professional and mature manner.
· Committed to completing the Modern Apprenticeship qualification.
What will I learn? Throughout your apprenticeship, you will develop:

- Has good attention to detail.
- Is comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrates reliability, professionalism and enthusiasm.
- National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Maths would be advantageous, but are not essential.
