Minibus Drivers

The High School of Glasgow is currently looking to hire for the positions of Minibus Drivers on a part-time term-time only basis.

We are looking to appoint friendly and enthusiastic minibus drivers to provide a safe and efficient transport service for our pupils. Applicants must have excellent timekeeping skills and be able to work to a strict schedule, while offering flexibility where required. They should ideally will have experience of working with children and will feel confident in dealing with and being responsible for children.

Applicants may apply for multiple routes and/or be entered into a pool of ad hoc drivers. They must possess either a PSV licence or hold a D1 category licence with Driver CPC. The successful applicants will require a PVG before commencing employment.

Hours of Work

We are currently recruiting for multiple routes and times, and would request that any applicants clarify which position(s) are of interest based on the below options:

• 3.30 - 5.45pm, Monday to Friday

o 11.25 hours per week (term time only) - Anniesland to Killearn route

• Various weekdays (ad-hoc basis), minimum 3 hours per day, term time only.

All of the above positions may require additional hours as and when necessary.

We intend to interview for these positions in February, with the successful applicants starting in April 2024.

Rate of Pay

The hourly rate for these positions will be £12.50 an hour.
