Full Job Description

Job purpose: Job Title: Modern Apprentice - Administration Assistant in Dermatology (annex 21) B3

Location: Dykebar Hospital, Paisley

Tenure: Fixed term - 18 months

Salary: Band 3 Salary Scale: £29,061 - £31,364

Modern Apprentice Salary: Starting salary: £21,954 per annum

Band 3 Annexe 21 Year 1 – 70% of top of scale

Band 3 Annexe 21 Year 2 – 75% of top of scale

On successful completion of the programme, you will be supported into permanent employment at the entry point of a Band 3 starting salary scale.

Start Date: 2nd November 2026 (projected start date)

The role:

A full outline of the duties is provided in the full Job Description. The duties will change regularly depending on what work and projects are required within the service.

However, in general these tasks will be;

Deal with telephone and face-to-face enquiries as received, providing information as required. Direct and prioritise enquiries as appropriate.

Accurately enter and maintain data across several internal databases and national platforms, particularly the PP+ Cancer Wait Times system, Trak

Care and

Receive visitors (including patients and members of the public) to the premises in a polite and helpful way in accordance with local procedures.

Diary management via the Microsoft Outlook systems and arranging/booking of suitable venues

Processing of Payroll information onto the electronic time & attendance system and submitting documentation to the Payroll department

Preparation of agendas, letters, correspondence and other documentation including attendance at departmental meetings and recording minutes

Co-ordinating the procurement and ordering of stationery/consumables and processing deliveries on arrival

What qualifications or qualities are required? Entry Requirements:

Applications are considered on a competitive basis which means not all candidates who meet the entry criteria will be guaranteed an interview.

In order to be considered for interview your Application Form MUST clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

A National 5 qualification (or SCQF equivalent) at Grade A-C in English or ESOL

AND

at least two National 4 qualifications (or SCQF equivalent)

AND

are within the specified age range*

AND

Fully complete the application form
