Modern Apprentice Early Learning & Childcare

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members , and this cost will be deducted from an employee's first FULL month's salary payment. Job purpose/about the role To work in collaboration and under the supervision of the Outdoor Early Learning and Childcare team to provide high quality and learner centred Outdoor Early Learning and Childcare to children from 2 - 5 years. The Modern Apprenticeship Programme is targeted at building our workforce of the future. Funding for training is available for applicants aged 16-19 and 20-24 (depending on the framework) and for disabled and care-experienced applicants between the age of 16-29. Please note that this position is within an Outdoor ELC provision, so desire, ability and love of being outside in all weathers is essential.

• Good written/numerical skills gained through either Standard Grades/National 4 or 5
Qualification(s) or
• Relevant work experience, Ability to communicate effectively. This will include non-verbal, verbal and written
demonstrate skills forms of communication
• Good observational and listening skills
