Full Job Description

Shifts: Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30. Friday 08:00 - 15:30. 24-hour standby rota and winter maintenance on a shift basis. Some overtime may be required.
Primary role is to maintain the project road through proactive maintenance works to include, but not limited to, checking and clearing drainage channels, vegetation management, litter picking.
Secondary role is to be 1st responder to any incident on the M6 DBFO network, assisting emergency services & recovery operators, deploying emergency lane/road closures, making everybody safe and clearing the carriageway as quickly as practicable to keep traffic flowing.
Working on the highway is a manual job which requires a reasonable level of agility and fitness.
The successful candidate must have an LGV C2 Driving Licence with up-to-date Driver CPC.
Hold a CSCS card (desirable).
Must be able to attend any incident within 60 minutes of a call. So reasonable proximity to the depot is required.
Experience of traffic management an advantage.
