St Columba's exists to give everyone who needs it the very best hospice care. We're an independent charity at the heart of our local community, offering free, flexible and person-centred palliative care and support to our patients and their families.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic team member to join our exciting new Serenity Salon team, based in Boswall Road, Edinburgh.

You will provide a commercial nail technician service to our local community and support the ongoing development of a vibrant and innovative service fit for the future. Reporting to the Salon Manager, you will also serve as a direct provider of care, engaging in the assessment, delivery and evaluation of beauty therapy for clients.

The salon will be open from Tuesday to Saturday and will be based in our beautiful Hospice grounds. You will have access to our staff dining facilities, onsite parking and other benefits such as a generous pension scheme and cycle to work scheme.

If you are friendly, hard-working and an experienced Nail Technician, who holds a professional qualification to HNC level (or equivalent) in nail treatments, we would like to hear from you.

CLOSING DATE: Monday 22nd July

INTERVIEWS: Monday 5th August

Due to the nature of this post, the post holder maybe required to undergo a criminal records check at PVG Scheme level. An application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory by the Hospice before the applicant can commence employment. A joint application will be made which the Hospice will pay for.

We want to ensure that as much of our resources as possible go towards supporting people with a terminal illness and therefore we do not normally contact unsuccessful applicants individually. If you have not heard from us within four weeks of the closing date, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. However, we would encourage you to apply for other suitable roles. Thank you for your interest in this vacancy and in working for St. Columba’s Hospice
