Full Job Description

The Network Development 360 DataStream programme of work is dedicated to help drive the UK's transition to net-zero. Network Development will focus on the complex interactions and timelines required to deliver Clean Power 2030. In an exciting period of growth, we have an increasing number of challenging change and transformation projects to develop and deliver. The Business Analyst is a pivotal role in our Network Development team so the successful candidate will play an important part in helping our transition towards new and continuous improvement. This role will focus on analysing and improving service delivery processes and providing support for service-related activities. The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, proficient in data analysis, and skilled in coordinating service delivery and process improvements. A key part of the role is to lead on business stakeholder management including industry bodies such as NESO, manage expectations across multiple workstreams and business units, ensuring risk, legal, security and other compliance requirements are met. The key responsibilities involved are as follows:

  • Lead complex business analysis projects, ensuring timely progress across workstreams. Utilise multi-skilled capabilities for IT and business change. Plan, prioritise, manage, execute, and evaluate analysis on multiple or critical projects, collaborating with stakeholders to balance conflicting needs.
  • Analyse service delivery processes to align with customer expectations and organisational goals. Develop and maintain reports, KPIs, and OKRs. Identify trends and issues, providing actionable recommendations. Coordinate with teams to streamline operations and handle issue resolution.
  • Document and analyse service delivery lessons to drive continuous improvement. Develop and implement initiatives to enhance service efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders to refine processes and integrate best practices.
  • Provide detailed analysis of service delivery data to inform decision-making and strategy. Present insights and recommendations in Network Development Regional meetings. Support the data analyst team in optimising service delivery and performance through data.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus to ensure high satisfaction through effective service delivery.     A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Data Analysis, Operations Management, or a related field is desirable but not essential. Extensive experience in supporting business-critical systems in large organisations, managing business and IT change projects, and handling multiple workstreams and stakeholders is required.
  • Must have strong skills in forming logical conclusions, articulating solutions, and prioritising workloads under pressure. Demonstrates excellent facilitation, a proactive approach, and the ability to maintain high-quality work with a confident, professional demeanour and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Office 365, Power Platform, SharePoint, Copilot, and Generative AI, is desirable. Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of project management principles (Prince 2, Microsoft Project, Project Web App) is advantageous. Agile methodologies and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences will demonstrate your creative approach.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management abilities. Detail-oriented and a looking for an autonomous environment.

    Salary: £33,500 - £50,300+ performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
