Night Porter

Working alongside the Night Manager, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and for the supervision and operations of premises at night.

Hotel Operations and Public Areas:

• Carry out security walks of the hotel, ensuring all doors are secure, equipment turned off, and all areas are clean and tidy.



• Control and monitoring of the Fire Alarm and Security systems to ensure the safety of our hotel and guests.



• Report any maintenance issues within the property.



• Cleaning Duties



• Assist with set up of the restaurants (if required) for following-day events.



• Provide Room Service throughout the evening.



• Serve late night drinks/snacks if required.



• To record all issues during the night and communicate a concise handover to colleagues on the day shift.



• Luggage assistance to all guests who require this service.


Reception Desk:

• Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel at night.



• Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to all guests.



• Perform all reception tasks, including check-in in and check-out, and deal with any requests.



• To ensure that all cash is dealt with in accordance with cash handling procedures.



• Administer all reservations, cancellations & no-shows in line with company policy.



• Run the Night Audit along with night manager as per procedure to ensure minimal disruption to the system.

Desirable:

• Previous Hotel Nights experience



• Good IT knowledge


This role will include long periods of standing and walking and occasional heavy lifting.

Use of industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals are involved (full training will be given)
