As a Night Porter at Crerar Hotels, you will be responsible for managing the night desk and ensuring the smooth running of operations between 11pm and 7am. You must take pride in your work, presenting yourself well and delivering exceptional customer service. This full-time role, which includes weekend shifts, covers a range of duties, including overseeing security, setting up function rooms for events, storing furniture and equipment, and following end-of-day procedures. You will also assist with guests' food and beverage needs throughout the night. With your attention to detail, you'll produce audit reports and ensure high security standards are maintained. Personable and engaging, you will interact with guests to exceed their expectations and may be asked to assist the cleaning, bar, and reception teams or act as duty manager when required. Previous night experience in a hotel is preferred, and your commitment to customer service will make a significant impact on the guest experience during the night shift., Scotland provides a sought-after quality of life, ideal for outdoorsy types. Urbanites may find there are limitations, with reduced public transport, small local shops and occasionally - the ultimate modern hardship - patchy phone signal. But those who take that in their stride find that they discover true peace and quiet, wake up to incredible scenery and have Scotland's natural larder to feast on daily. 2. Just now there are some big changes happening at the hotel, so we need more hospitality enthusiasts to join us on the next step of our exciting journey. But we're also after someone who does their homework before telling their mum they're away to move to Inveraray. It's a lifestyle choice, to live in the heart of Argyll, on the west coast of Scotland. Inveraray is just a wee town on the edge of Loch Fyne, with lots of quaint old white washed buildings. In the summer, tourists pack out the castle and infamous Inveraray Jail. Things get pretty quiet in the winter. If you love seafood, you'll love the fresh local oysters from Loch Fyne. It's Scotland's longest sea loch - which is gorgeous, but can also feel remote. Inveraray is 90 minutes from Glasgow and you have to make the scenic drive all the way around the top of the loch to get there. The nearest train station is Oban, an hour by car, or buses go to Glasgow every two hours.
