Night Social Care Assistant
Glaitness Centre
18.5 hours per week
Permanent
£41,048 - £41.895 pro rata
£21.28 - £21.72 per hour
The above amounts include Distant Islands Allowance.

The Glaitness Centre is located in Kirkwall and comprises purpose built Supported Accommodation, Short Breaks services, and day care facilities for people with physical disabilities. This post will be allocated to working in the Supported Accommodation and Short Breaks part of the service on a night shift rota basis.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to work both on an individual basis and as a member of a team. You will adopt a person-centred approach to deliver a high standard of flexible and responsive care to service users within the Supported Accommodation and Short Breaks.
You will provide support and assistance to service users using the re-ablement approach that includes support and assistance to service users to maximise and maintain their independence and to access community facilities.
You should hold a minimum of SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or other relevant qualifications to enable registration with SSSC as a Support Worker in a Housing Support Service with Care at Home for Adults, or where the essential qualification is not held, applicants should be able to achieve this within 3 years of appointment. You must also register with SSSC as a Support Worker within 3 months of appointment.
This post is a regulated role with adults, and requires Level 2 Disclosure with PVG scheme membership.
