Nursery Manager Maternity cover

Managing the day-to-day operations of the nursery, the successful candidate will ensure that the nursery is compliant with Care Inspectorare guidelines, Health and Safety Standards and current legislation.

• Overseeing and coordinating stimulating and inspiring activities for the children across the nursery.



• Communicating with families on the progress and outcomes of the children and motivating staff and monitoring their development throughout the nursery.



• Empowering the team to deliver rich learning opportunities for all children is critical.



• Strong experience of working with local authority personnel and ensuring that the staff team are meeting expectations is essential.



• Ensuring occupancy targets are hit and maintained at all times and working towards improving the setting on a daily basis.



• Supporting and actively promoting the safety, security and well-being of all children, colleagues, and visitors.



• Supporting the leadership and management of the nursery teams so they can develop and thrive.
  
  An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our nursery setting in Midlothian. Ideally qualified with a BA in Childhood Practice or equivalent or SCQF Level 9, or willing to work towards it. The ideal candidate will require resilience and be adaptable to change. A can-do and proactive attitude is essential!
