Occupational Health Advisor - Inchinnan

You will provide clear visible and professional advice to our client's employees by providing the full Occupational Health remit in line with the client contract including consultation, advice, education, medical assessments, and D&A testing where appropriate. The role involves conducting case management appointments, assessing employee fitness for work, and issuing fitness certificates in line with Health Partners policies. You will respond to client and manager queries, maintaining accurate records per NMC standards, and provide health surveillance in accordance with current legislation. What you'll be doing:

• To provide expert, evidence based case management services for referrals relating to attendance, fitness for work and other requests for OH advice.
• Provide professional, comprehensive and evidence based written reports
• Provide expert advice in respect of legislative requirements and best practice relating to OH
• To provide fitness medicals and health surveillance where required that meet best practice requirements and in line with Health Partners' policies and protocols
• To evaluate the results of medicals and surveillance provided, and ensure that the correct advice in relation to fitness is communicated, escalating where clinically appropriate
• To maintain valid and up to date registration with the NMC and comply with NMC guidelines in relation to professional issues, clinical supervision and continuous learning and development as a registered nurse
• You should be proficient in the provision of: Spirometry, Audiometry, General Medicals, Case Management, Fitness for role assessment
  
  Registered Nurse (Part 1), with a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health Degree/Diploma
You will have excellent time management skills coupled with meticulous written skills and attention to detail, the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders and have an understanding of your own competence, how this relates to your practice and when to escalate/seek support to ensure safe practice. In addition you will be confident with IT and have a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practice of data protection and confidentiality in OH. You will have experience in delivering case management and the provision of OH advice Hours: This is a full time role working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
