Full Job Description

Base Location: Flexible UK & Ireland, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Dublin, Belfast, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, Reading or Havant., In your role as an Operational Readiness Engineer, you will be pivotal in integrating new Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery (OWSB) projects into the fleet ensuring all operational requirements and standards are met through the development phase of Large Capital Projects. This position involves significant collaboration with various SSE departments to align large capital projects with long-term operational and maintenance strategies.

Main accountabilities may include: -

- Providing a single point of contact within the Asset Management directorate through the development and refinement stages of projects.

- Supporting development of Employer's Requirements & Works Information and reviewing variations submitted by suppliers that may impact on operations or maintenance of site.

- Participating and feeding into OEM Technical Due-Diligence reviews across all technologies.

- Ensuring all project risks are managed and mitigated and accepted by the Asset Management Business.

- Acting as Operational Representative for service agreement negotiations.

Experience of Wind operations and maintenance standards, processes and technologies, knowledge of solar & battery is also desirable.

- Detailed understanding and experience of large capital project development processes within a large organisation.

- Experience of technical analysis of operational contractual agreements.

- Excellent Project Management knowledge and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work at height.

Salary: £40,600-£61,000/€56,500-€84,700 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
