The Role

We are looking for an Operations Coordinator who will work across the Technology and Broadcast Division, supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of core solutions that underpin the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

You will play a key role in ensuring the Division keeps plans on track, documentation aligned, and partners connected across all phases of delivery. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of a world-class event.

Job Summary:

In this role, you’ll support the planning and coordination of key activity across the Technology and Broadcast Division, helping to keep programmes organised, connected and on track. You’ll work across teams to manage tasks, maintain timelines and support the delivery of operational processes, identifying challenges early and helping to resolve them.

You’ll prepare clear and concise documentation, including reports, briefings and presentations, ensuring information is shared effectively with internal teams and external partners. You’ll also play a central role in coordinating communication, making sure key updates reach the right people at the right time.

Day to day, you’ll organise and support meetings, workshops and events, capturing decisions and tracking actions to keep progress moving. You’ll monitor project timelines, highlight risks and dependencies, and escalate issues where needed.

During Games time, you’ll provide hands-on support within the Technology Operations Centre and across venues, contributing to the smooth delivery of services when it matters most.

As with all roles at Glasgow 2026, responsibilities will evolve as plans develop, offering the opportunity to contribute across a range of areas as the Games approach.

Key Skills and Experience:

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised and confident managing documentation, timelines and stakeholder relationships in a fast-moving environment. You’ll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, including across hybrid or remote settings, with strong interpersonal skills that help you build effective relationships at all levels.

You’ll bring a high level of attention to detail and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work, even when working to tight deadlines. A proactive and collaborative approach is key, alongside the ability to stay focused and effective in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly. Strong administrative, planning and time management skills are essential, along with confidence using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Experience of working on large-scale events, festivals or complex projects would be valuable, particularly where you’ve been exposed to areas such as accreditation systems, volunteer platforms, timing and scoring, venue technology or broadcast operations.

As a person, you’ll be a collaborative communicator who builds strong partnerships and contributes positively to team delivery. You’ll be reliable and results-focused, able to stay calm under pressure while maintaining high standards. You’ll adapt quickly as plans evolve, managing complexity with care and accountability. Above all, you’ll be motivated by purpose, contributing to a Games that is inclusive, accessible and welcoming for all.
