Full Job Description

NatureScot is Scotland's Nature Agency, protecting and restoring nature, and inspiring everyone to value our natural world. In this role you will contribute to NatureScot's vision for a nature-rich future for Scotland by encouraging action to protect, restore and value nature as part of the National Operations Team.

There are three positions available focusing on the Firth of Forth, the Inverness and Cromarty Firth and Orkney and northern Scotland respectively. The Firth of Forth and Inverness and Cromarty posts are full time while the Orkney and northern Scotland post is 17.5 hours per week.

Your role will focus on working in a team to deliver NatureScot's development advice in relation to coastal and marine development. In particular this will involve working with the regulating authorities and wider stake holders for either the Forth Green Freeport, Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Free Port, or coastal infrastructure projects in Orkney and northern Scotland. You will be providing advice on the implications for Scotland's nature resulting from coastal infrastructure developments in these locations.

Training and mentoring will be provided on the technical aspects of the post. The liaison with and the co-ordinating of advice from our specialist advisers will be an integral aspect of the role.
