Operations Supervisor

Caerlaverock is a stunning nature reserve situated on the north Solway coast. We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Operations Supervisor to join our small team.

This post will suit someone with skills in managing all aspects of a self-catering accommodation, operations, building maintenance, contract management and operational aspects of a visitor attraction.

They would also be inspired by working on one of the best nature reserves in Scotland.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days in 7 including weekend and bank holiday working.

The successful candidate will be motivated by working on a amazing site rich in wildlife surrounded by a stunning landscape. They will be flexible, great at problem solving and with a can do attitude. And have really good people skills.
Educated to A level standard or equivalent qualification or experience
Full, current driving licence
We are looking for someone with ability to:
Experience of managing contractors undertaking maintenance, repair or cleaning contracts
Ability to coordinate and deliver small-scale projects on time and within set resources
Experience of working in a customer/visitor-facing setting and ability to engage positively with the public to promote work of WWT and Caerlaverock
Experience of operating self-catering holiday accommodation
Demonstrable passion for nature conservation and sustainable site management.
Day-to-day responsibility for maintenance and safe use of built infrastructure, habitats, visitor facilities and equipment.
Ability to think creatively and assist the Centre and Reserve Manager with forward planning and problem solving
