Packaging Operative

A new opportunity has arisen with one of Connect's Broxburn-based clients. We're seeking reliable individuals to become Packaging Operatives with our food production and manufacturing client. The role is temp-to-perm for the right candidate.

Working Monday to Friday, 06:20 to 14:40, you will be provided with full training, immediate starts, and weekly pay - dependent on age:

• Under 20 - 10.48 per hour
• 21+ - 11.44 per hour

As a Packaging Operative, your duties and responsibilities will include: Picking and packing of products; Monitoring quality control of products and raw material; Using relevant production machinery and equipment; Working on a fast-paced production line; Manual handling and weighing of products; Other general warehouse/labourer duties.

To be successful you will ideally have previous experience within a warehouse, production or manufacturing environment, particularly in a food production environment. However, this is not essential, applicants with the following skills and traits will be considered:

• Ability to safely and correctly stack goods on pallets for bulk shipments
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to spend long periods of time on your feet
• Ability to work on your own and in a team
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
• Excellent time keeping

Please Note - You will be working in a cold environment wearing full protective equipment.
