Painter and Decorator

• Control and manage aspects of planned maintenance and reactive tasks.
• Ensuring that the works are delivered on time, to set budgets and to an acceptable quality / technical standard.
• Maintain and update the company Mobile Management Information Systems for all work.
• To be proactive in managing and undertaking work and be client focussed in the delivery of the work.
• Representing the company in a competent and professional manner.
• Manage subsequent reactive maintenance services across all contracts.
• Management of work within budgets to drive efficiencies.
• Responsibility for implementation of company Health & Safety Policy and Rules and implementation of CDM Regulations. Preparation of H&S plans, risk assessments and method statements.
• Liaison with Operations Teams, Clients and management of information flow.
• Inspection and sign off work undertaken.
• Other duties as may be required depending on the needs of the business
What you'll bring As a Painter and Decorator your main skills and experience will include:
• Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
• Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires
• Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
• Preparing surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
• Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
• Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project
• Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers
• Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors
• Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when the project is complete.
• Possess excellent knowledge of safe and effective working
• Possess a full, valid driving license.
