Part Time Accounts Assistant

We’re working with a well-established organisation to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team. This permanent role is being offered on a 25 hour working week basis (across 5 days), with hybrid working on offer and also some potential flexibility on the working hours.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys working in a varied, hands-on role with exposure across multiple areas of finance. You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely processing across sales ledger, reconciliations, and month-end support.

Responsibilities:

• Support the management of the Sales Ledger, including invoicing and reconciliation to bookings
• Issue customer statements and assist with debt chasing in collaboration with internal teams
• Review and reconcile aged debtor reports
• Process credit notes in line with company procedures
• Reconcile credit card accounts and post associated journals
• Perform daily bank reconciliations
• Maintain accurate document and file management
• Manage finance inbox and respond to queries
• Assist the Management Accountant with month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and expenditure analysis
• Provide occasional support to the Purchase Ledger function
