The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Part Time Payroll HR Coordinator to take the lead on payroll and pension administration, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery while driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure payroll information is accurate, validated, and submitted within agreed deadlines.
  • Review and strengthen payroll controls, reconciliations, and approval processes to improve governance.
  • Manage pension administration, employee benefits, and salary sacrifice arrangements.
  • Provide HR administrative support and maintain accurate employee records where required.
  • Develop and document payroll procedures, ensuring clear processes and effective knowledge sharing.
  • Investigate payroll queries, resolve discrepancies, and identify opportunities for ongoing process improvements.

Candidate Profile

You'll have a proven track record in payroll administration along with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to managing sensitive data. Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders, you'll understand the importance of strong payroll governance and enjoy identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Experience working with outsourced payroll providers and pension schemes is highly desirable, while knowledge of iTrent and previous exposure to HR administration would be advantageous.

Package Benefits

  • £39,000 - £42,000 FTE salary.
  • Pro-rata salary of approximately £23,400 - £25,200 based on 21.75 hours per week.
  • 30 days' annual leave (pro rata), plus additional Christmas and Easter closures.
  • Part-time hours offering an excellent work-life balance.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a collaborative and supportive organisation.

Reasons to Join

  • Take ownership of an essential business function during a significant period of change.
  • Drive improvements that strengthen payroll governance and operational efficiency.
  • Enjoy a varied role spanning payroll, pensions, HR administration, systems, and stakeholder management.
  • Leave a lasting legacy by embedding sustainable processes and best practice.
