Home Instead are the N.1 Private homecare provider in the UK, with the SUR Group currently owning 9 offices across Scotland, you will join our centralised finance team as a Payroll Officer supporting operations across the country., We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our care-at-home company in Glasgow. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for managing payroll processes accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment to our dedicated care staff. This role requires strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.,

  • Process payroll for a diverse team of care staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions based on timesheet data and employment contracts.

  • Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures, staying updated on changes in regulations, and recommending updates to payroll software.

  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports, summaries, and analyses to management.

  • Address payroll-related queries and issues from employees and external agencies professionally and promptly.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and accurate financial reporting.

  • Stay informed about tax and legal developments affecting payroll processes in the UK.

    Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role, preferably in the healthcare or social care sector.

  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, procedures, and relevant legislation in the UK.

  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).

  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.

  • Certification in payroll (e.g., CIPP) would be advantageous., Payroll: 2 years (required)
