Payroll & Sales Ledger Administrator

Glasgow | Full-Time | Office Based

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Fourply Ltd is seeking an organised, detail-focused Payroll & Sales Ledger Administrator to join our Accounts Team at our Glasgow office.


This is an excellent opportunity to become part of an established joinery-led building contractor who have been trading for over 26 years.


Working alongside a supportive and experienced team, you will play an important role in ensuring the accurate administration of payroll and sales ledger activities that support the day-to-day operation of the business.

across healthcare, commercial and public-sector environments, working with a number of long-standing clients throughout Scotland and the North of England.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Administration

▪ Audit weekly operative timesheets against vehicle tracking data

▪ Calculate weekly payroll including holidays, expenses, overtime and rate changes

▪ Investigate and resolve discrepancies prior to passing to external accountants for payroll processing

▪ Prepare payroll journals and BACS payment information

▪ Ensure accurate labour cost allocation within our job management system

▪ Liaise confidently with operatives and Contracts Managers regarding payroll queries

▪ Assist with payroll reporting and labour analysis for management purposes

 

Sales Ledger Administration

▪ Prepare client valuations in accordance with individual client requirements

▪ Raise accurate sales invoices in accordance with client procedures and HMRC guidelines

▪ Prepare and distribute sales invoice packages within required timescales

▪ Act as the first point of contact for sales ledger queries

▪ Investigate and resolve invoice and account queries with clients and internal departments

▪ Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation

What We're Looking For:

Essential

▪ Previous experience in Payroll Administration

▪ Previous experience in Sales Ledger Administration

▪ Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail

▪ Excellent organisational skills

▪ Good communication and interpersonal skills

▪ Experience in Sage 50 Accounts

▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (incl. Excel)

▪ Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to weekly deadlines

 

Desirable

▪ Experience within the construction, maintenance or building services sector

▪ Understanding of labour cost allocation and project-based accounting

Hours of Work:

This is an office-based position.

▪ 40 hours per week

▪ Monday to Friday

▪ 8:00am – 4:30pm
