If so, an exciting new vacancy has arisen within the Perth and Kinross HSCP for an Occupational Therapist to support and work alongside our Care & Repair Service.
Are you an enthusiastic and motivated team player who has the advanced practice, knowledge, skills and experience to support the team? If so, you will fit right in.
This is a full time, 36 hours per week, peripatetic role (Fixed 2 year contract) covering all localities across Perth & Kinross and will focus on private sector housing. The post will be based in Perth City.
You will be working with a supportive and collaborative team of Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Senior Clerical Assistants based throughout our other Perth and Kinross integrated localities.
You will work closely with colleagues based within the Care & Repair team to deliver a service that will meet existing and future needs.
You will contribute to the development of best practice and service development. This will include delivering person centred inclusive services in line with HCPC standards of practice.

Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who is skilled in assessment, rehabilitation, moving and handling and planning & building design.
As an Occupational Therapist within the team you will be required to work with people of all ages who require specialist Occupational Therapy intervention.
There is a key focus on early intervention, prevention and a reablement approach across all services. You will be expected to undertake comprehensive assessments and to arrange the provision of basic and specialist equipment, minor adaptations and community supports to assist individuals to achieve their optimum level of independence in the community.
For this particular post, experience in building design and complex environmental adaptations is also highly desirable and is an essential key function in order to undertake this role. Inhouse training and support will also be available.
You must be able to work effectively within a team and demonstrate a commitment to improving service provision.
You will have good organisational skills and be able to manage a busy caseload.
Excellent verbal, written and IT skills are essential.
You must have a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
You must be registered with HCPC.
3 years post qualification experience is highly desirable.
Moving and handling experience is essential.
You must have a valid UK driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
