Full Job Description
Our client is an 83-year-old male with dementia and hearing problems. Our client is looking for a personal assistant who can offer up to 3 hours a week (afternoons / weekends). Our client would like someone with an understanding of dementia and experience working with it. The job role will include spending time with our client and aiding with personal care (toilet / incontinence). Preparing light meals and drinks such as a sandwich and staying with the client due to a risk of falls.
Our client would like you to be confident and able to try and get them to engage in activities. You will need to be assertive, patient, understanding, chatty and have a good sense of humour. Our client enjoys puzzles and documentaries but will need encouraged to engage.
