Full Job Description
Our client is a 29-year-old male living with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), Dyspraxia, hypermobility and Dystonia. An understanding of FND is important, as his support needs can vary from day to day.
Depending on how he is feeling, support may include medication and personal care, as well as practical tasks such as cooking, cleaning and walking his dog. He would also like support to attend appointments, go food shopping and visit family and friends. Access to a car which could be used to support our client is desirable.
Social activities are an important part of his life, and support may include going to cafés, the cinema, theatre and other outings. Depending on availability, some weekend support may also be required.
Our client is looking for someone who has a good sense of humor, a friendly and chatty personality, and who is reliable and punctual. The ability to remain calm and adaptable when things do not go to plan is important. First aid training would also be advantageous.
