    • This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups). You will be asked to supply a copy of your certificate as proof and for their records due to the new legislation for April 2025. Driver preferred with no points on licence due to insurance requirement.

    We are looking for a personal assistant to help a 22 year old female become more independent. Helping her to build her confidence in her abilities as well as keeping her safe when out and about is essential within this role. Our client has epilepsy, ADHD, Autism, OCD, rejection sensitivity and a learning difficulty which displays as challenging behaviour when triggered. We are looking for the 'right person' to support this young lady and as she needs guidance, reassurance and support she interacts well with motherly figures. The hours are negotiable and can be discussed in more detail at interview, but the family are willing to be very flexible for the right person. Activities may include going to the cinema, taking photos, swimming or engaging her in other activities she enjoys. We would also ask for help with supporting her to buy ingredients, prepare and tidy up lunch; perhaps shower or do other activities indoors. We are looking to build up her independence and confidence within tasks which will empower her when in her own tenancy in the future. We would ask that you write a small paragraph about yourself which will allow the family to gain a better idea of why you would like to have this post. Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit. Having a driving licence would be preferred as there is a mobility car available for use. For insurance purposes there cannot be any points on your licence. Regarding her personal care our client needs reminded to wash her ands and supported to shower.
