Summary
Hours: 2-4 hours/week (flexible - more during school holidays)
Schedule: Alternate Saturdays, approx. 10am-2pm
We're looking for a caring, alert Personal Assistant to support an 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy to enjoy fun activities and stay safe during weekend outings.
In This Role, You'll:
- Go swimming, visit the beach or play football
- Help with safe outings and suggest fun new activities
- Support with some personal care
- Be a calm, consistent adult who helps him feel secure
Ideal Candidate:
- Has a kind, attentive, and practical nature
- Enjoys working with children
- Can adapt and stay calm in unexpected moments
- Experience is helpful but not essential
PVG Membership Requirement:
Please note that under the new legal requirements effective from April 2025, all Personal Assistants must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
If you're not already a member, you must be willing to apply and successfully register before starting the role. SDS Options Fife will support applicants through the PVG application process if needed.
