Full Job Description
We are looking for 2 personal assistants to support a 40-year-old female who would like support for getting out and about and continuing to maintain her independence.
Our client has a visual impairment in both eyes and has cerebral palsy which affects all four of her limbs. Our client makes use of a variety of mobility equipment when out and about also. This role will be to assist our client to go about her day. This will include assisting with changing at the swimming pool, taking to appointments, supporting with cooking, light housework, and light personal care.
Our client is an independent person, and supporting this to continue is the main function of this role. RNIB Training can also be made available to successful candidates. Driver essential.
Applicants must have a caring attitude, have a good sense of humour, be reliable with a positive and flexible approach to work. Having experience within this area would be of benefit.
This role requires an enhanced check through PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups).
Duties & Responsibilities
· Assistance with light personal care
· Assistance with light housework
· Assistance in the house and support to go out and about in the community
