Full Job Description

  • Following a clinical check by the Pharmacist, complete the final accuracy check on dispensed medications before they are supplied to the patient
  • Preparing and dispensing prescription medication
  • Complete patient sales and transactions for over-the-counter medications
  • Administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the pharmacy
  • Organise, and assess patient information
  • Maintain electronic records
  • Offer advice on free NHS services that patients are eligible to receive
  • Process requests for free NHS services
  • Receive prescription orders
  • Consult directly with other healthcare providers and patients, The role involves completing final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, preparing and dispensing prescriptions, supporting NHS services, and providing advice to patients.
  • The role is based at M&D Green's Armadale pharmacy, 7 North Street, Armadale.
  • Yes, this is a full-time role.
  • Applicants must hold an active General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) accredited qualification.
  • Experience working in a pharmacy is desirable, and experience preparing medication for Care Homes is also desirable.

  • We are looking for a full time Accredited Checking Technician to join our team at our Armadale Pharmacy. You will be a key part of the pharmacy team, providing a range of services to our patients, offering advice and managing, assembling and supplying medications. You will be flexible in your approach, be able to communicate effectively with our patients and other healthcare professionals and hold a General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) accredited qualification.,
  • Basic computer skills
  • An active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Experience working in a pharmacy (desirable)
  • Experience in preparing medication for Care Homes (desirable)
