Boots UK, Bonnybridge, Scotland, United Kingdom The hourly rate for this role is £12.98 and up to £14.36 across selected locations within London. About the role We are looking for a relief phlebotomist to travel up to 2 hours to different stores across the region. Based at our Falkirk High Street store, you will regularly travel to Glasgow Buchanan Gallery, East Kilbride The Plaza, Edinburgh Shandwick Place, Edinburgh Gyle Centre, Dundee High Street and Dunfermline Kingsgate Shopping Centre stores to provide support for our healthcare services. In these stores, you will conduct a variety of pharmacy services, including taking venous blood samples from patients, managing the appointment diaries, greeting patients and delivering the service. You will use your ability to connect with patients to provide exceptional patient-centred care. Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of the appointment diary to ensure clinics are set up as required.
- Ensure every individual arriving for a pre-booked appointment is greeted, booked into the system and completion of all pre-consultation paperwork.
- Take venous blood samples from individuals according to UK guidelines, ensuring integrity and appropriate storage.
- Prepare samples for collection; ensure missed collections are escalated and samples reach the laboratory within the set timeframe.
- Communicate with store leadership, pharmacist and pharmacy team to ensure safe and appropriate provision of the service.
- Order and maintain adequate stock of consumables and materials required to deliver the service.
- Ensure the consultation space always meets the required consultation room standards. What You'll Need To Have
- Minimum 12 months' phlebotomist experience.
- Willingness to work weekdays and weekends.
- A full, valid UK driving licence and access to a car for travel.
- Understanding that you may be requested to change your work location on short notice.
- Punctuality to arrive at each store in time to set yourself up.
- Healthcare Training Programme at NVQ2 or equivalent.
- Empathetic, approachable, and able to build relationships quickly with colleagues and customers.
- A passion for customer care and working in healthcare. It would be great if you also have
