Full Job Description
A great opportunity to join a dedicated procurement team focused on delivering value and quality to our manufacturing operations., We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Pig Procurement Administrator to support the day-to-day activities of our Pig Procurement Department. This is a vital role that ensures accurate and timely administration, supports supplier relationships, and contributes directly to the smooth running of our supply chain operations., As Pig Procurement Administrator, you will:
- Maintain and update departmental spreadsheets and internal databases to ensure data accuracy
- Support the Pig Buying Manager with daily and ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Use SAP to manage supplier and movement data
- Prepare and distribute key information to stakeholders, including farmers and transport companies
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery details, resolve queries, and support scheduling
- Ensure movement confirmations are issued within 24 hours and submitted to relevant governing bodies
- Manage and update supplier records to meet site, customer, and legal standards
- Assist with reporting and analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of outputs
- Respond to supplier queries, including those related to payments or documentation
- Carry out additional duties as required by the Pig Buying Manager, contributing to team success
This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) offered on a 6-month fixed-term contract, ideal for someone looking for flexibility while still playing a key role within the team. If you're experienced in administration, enjoy working with data, and are confident communicating with internal and external stakeholders, this could be the role for you., - 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English (Grade C or above)
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in a supply chain or farming environment
- A background or interest in agriculture (desirable but not essential)
- Confidence in using Microsoft Excel, databases, and SAP (preferred)
- Experience with data input and generating reports
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive, team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn
