Pipefitter

The Role:
We are looking for experienced Pipefitters to join a major manufacturing and engineering project in Govan. You will be responsible for the assembly, fabrication, and installation of pipework systems while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Location: Govan
Working Arrangement: Onsite Contract Duration: 12 Months
PAYE Rate: 20.80 per hour + 8.00 per hour travel allowance
Umbrella Rate: 27.84 per hour + 8.00 per hour travel allowance
Security Requirement: BPSS

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret fabrication and installation drawings.
• Carry out pipe assembly and fabrication activities using a variety of hand tools.
• Work in line with Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) procedures and regulations.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and specified tolerances.
• Collaborate with supervisors, planners, quality teams, maintenance personnel, and other trades.
• Support and coach apprentices by sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Assist with resolving shop floor and production-related issues.
• Meet project deadlines and team targets.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven Pipefitting experience within a manufacturing, engineering, shipbuilding, or heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of quality requirements and safe working practices.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
